How To Prepare Amala With Avis Best Food Plantain Flour

Plantain fufu popularly called Amala in Nigeria is in the form of a swallow made using well processed, unripe plantain flour. This meal is highly recommended for people of all ages, for persons who want to stay healthy and older people with diabetes, as it is starch-free, healthy and thus improves the general wellness of the body.

Steps For Preparation:

There are two separate ways to make this, depending on the form of unripe plantain, either with Avis Best Food Plantain Flour or the unprocessed fruit.

With the Unprocessed fruit:

  • Peel the plantain and cut it into small portions
  • Blend plantain chunks into a paste
  • Pour into a pot containing water and start stirring
  • Continue stirring until the mixture becomes stretchy.

With Avis Best Food Plantain Flour:

  • Pour water into a pot and allow to start boiling
  • Pour in your required quantity of Avis Best Food Plantain Flour, a little at a time while stirring with the other hand.
  • Continue stirring until it solidifies and is completely blended.

Your Amala is ready for consumption.

Note: Ensure you stir your mixture properly, in order to avoid the formation of lumps when you’re done

Remember your Amala has to be made from unripe plantain, so to prevent the plantain fruit from getting ripe the best choice is to make flour out of it, this way you can store and use it anytime.
